& Now is free 16-page, A4, quarterly environmental magazine for
Hastings, Rother and East Sussex with a print run of 5000. It looks at
local issues from a global perspective, raising awareness of
environmental debates and sustainable development and providing positive
visions of the future based on the best current thinking. Here and Now magazine is produced by 10 volunteer staff including distributors, the book-keeper, the editor and subscriptions manager. Financial support for printing costs has come from individuals (with especial generosity from Linda and Paul McCartney) and from statutory bodies with sponsorship from 1066 Housing Association. Members of the editorial group are willing to share their experience of setting up, financing and maintaining a free publication including experience of planning, financing, workshops. |
