OASIS is a community service centre actively supported by volunteering residents. It was set up in response to residents' requests for access to advice and information on health, further education and benefits identified in a survey commissioned by the Ore Valley Forum in 1995.  

Established in the Sure Start building in the Broomgrove Estate, along with other complementary community service groups, OASIS now provides a wide variety of services to residents in all  five housing estates in the Ore Valley.

Previous and present staff are willing to share their experience on
