A project to link projects. Identify future support mechanism. Royal Docks Trust Involvement. There shouldn't be such a thing as an 'exit strategy', activities should continue and be mainstreamed. |
Local Needs Gap Overarching strategy of skills gaps analysis for the Borough. LBN to subsidise training schemes. Make self-leadership /motivation an integral part of all training (NTN). Lobby LSC to increase training portfolio. Need a champion for this cause - Alison White, East London Business Alliance? Local Business training. Would like to see Excel & Royal Business Park actively engaging with local educators/groups to develop/engage work force in CT/CH (Alison White help?) NACRO/NTN - ex Offenders in touch with training. |

FundingExternal funding bulletin: contact Paul Williams or Liz McManus. Create a Single pot. Strategic joint local bids. Project managers meet monthly to exchange info on funding, funding applying for, to discuss areas of work, planned work, problems/solutions. Workshop for SRB projects to access funding after SRB. Set up a central, accessible source of information on funding. Funding Day: for voluntary/community organisations, what funding available, criteria, access, advisory sessions to be organised by NVSC/A2E Strategic Partnerships with local business to develop triple bottom line strategies. Be more 'business minded' in our approach to operating and generating profits to go back into a 'pot' for funding. |
Communication: Directory of who does what / supplies which service for vol groups to use. Meeting / Network of umbrella organisations - sharing of services & ideas. Website / Database. Learning NeedsReplace by 'Education / Learning.Organise Funding Fair (as in Brighton). Quarterly SRB project managers meeting. Have schools open 12 hours a day 7 days a week. Renaisi to provide support. |
Management SystemsProvide information and training on systems required by funder:Funders to develop
'uniformed systems'. Partnership with local agencies - systems (database) and referral agencies. Sharing information with agencies. SRB - provide organisational support Funding bodies offer some sort of training in management systems - databases, excel/spreadsheets Provide aftercare to profile every year or equivalent Programme originator (?LDA?) needs to recognise projects need to be able to count people outputs more than once Write a simple financial package to report and record accounts Training needs analysis review of each person Long-term measurable outcomes - not short term & box them out Create more synergy |
